Theme:  Strengthening Peace Operations in Africa: Strategic Foresight, Emerging Technologies and Effectiveness of Future Missions

The Annual Senior Officers’ Seminar (ASOS Africa 2026) will be co-convened by the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC), the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), and the Swiss Armed Forces at the IPSTC in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.

The high-level Seminar will provide an important knowledge-sharing platform for experts and practitioners drawn from the security sector, government, private sector, civil society organisations, and think tanks, with a focus on African and African Union perspectives.

Participants will deliberate on current trends, emerging challenges, and future opportunities in the peace support operations domain, particularly in the context of prevailing financial and political constraints.
