Theme: Africa launch of the Global Peace Index 2026

The Africa Launch of the 2026 Global Peace Index (GPI) will be co-hosted by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) and the Australian High Commission in Kenya at the Commission’s premises in Rosslyn, along Limuru Road.

The Global Peace Index is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness, developed by IEP. The evidence-based Index assesses peace across three key domains including Societal Safety and Security, Ongoing Domestic and International Conflict and Militarisation.

The Africa Launch will provide a platform for stakeholders to engage with the latest insights on peace intiatives and pathways for more peaceful and resilient societies across the continent.
