The Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) participated in the International Relations and Diplomacy-2025 Career and Mentorship Forum, which took place on 14th March 2025 at CUEA Campus, Nairobi, Kenya. The event themed “Building and Nurturing Impactful Careers in International Relations and Diplomacy,” was hosted by International Relations Society of Kenya (IRSK), Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), a collaborative effort, bringing together MRPC and other institutions.
The forum engaged passionate young leaders and experts from the International Relations (IR) industry, fostering strategic discussions, experiential learning, and action-driven policy dialogues aimed at shaping the future of the field.
A heartfelt thank you the IRSK team who made it possible for MRPC to showcase its newly published 2025 Journal dubbed “The Mashariki Security Journal” themed “Peace and Security in Eastern Africa: Issues, Challenges, and Prospects.”
This first edition explores critical security and governance issues, including state fragility, transnational threats, election management, environmental degradation, political economy, and identity challenges, reinforcing MRPC’s commitment to fostering informed policy discourse in the region.
