Agnes Maina, Research Fellow at MRPC, represented the institution at the Australia-East Africa Think Tank Roundtable hosted by the Australian High Commission in Nairobi on the 4th of June 2026.

The discussions led by Mr. Christopher Ellinger, the Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Kenya explored maritime security, governance, economic diplomacy, youth inclusion, AI and security, extractive industries, and the growing role of middle powers in shaping regional and global affairs.

The dialogue reinforced the importance of context-specific partnerships, transparency, and investing in Africa’s youth as key drivers of sustainable development and regional stability.
