On 14th August 2025, The Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) team had the privilege of hosting Mr. Mukhtar Ogle, EBS, OGW, Former Head- Secretary for Strategic Initiatives, Executive Office of the President, Republic of Kenya and Research Fellow in Public Policy Analysis and Management from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, USA, for a consultative meeting at the Centre’s premises. The meeting was attended by Brig (Rtd) Dr. Robert Kabage, Chief Executive Officer of MRPC along with Mr. Joseph Kiarie, Ms. Felistus Kandia and Ms. Grace Musolo.

The discussion centered on exploring avenues for research collaboration and strategic policy engagement, with a focus on peacebuilding, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment, all aimed at advancing security and sustainable peace in the Eastern Africa region.
