On 7th August 2025, The Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) team hosted Dr. Justa Mwangi, PhD, Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Sussex and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kenyatta University for a consultative meeting at the Centre’s premises. The meeting was attended by Brig (Rtd) Dr. Robert Kabage, Chief Executive Officer of MRPC along with Dr. Solomon Njenga, PhD- Director of Research, Mr. Joseph Kiarie, and Ms. Grace Musolo.

The MRPC team engaged in productive discussions with Dr. Justa to explore potential research collaborations in governance and public policy, with a focus on enhancing citizen participation and institutional accountability to promote security and peace in the Eastern Africa region.
