Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) will be participating in the International Committee Of The Red Cross (ICRC) forum on “Global Initiative to Galvanize Political Commitment to International Humanitarian Law (GIIHL) and the role of national IHL committees.” The forum will be hosted by ICRC on 6th October, 2026 from 4:30pm -6:00pm.

The forum will bring together lawmakers, diplomats, civil society leaders, and think tank representatives to examine approaches to mitigating violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in armed conflicts and emerging violent situations at the global, regional, and national levels. The panel discussions will also explore forward-looking recommendations on strengthening the effective engagement and contribution of National IHL Committees in promoting compliance with with IHL.
