Dr John Mwangi participated in the APN/NextGen Africa University Seminar Series- held from 18-19th September 2024 at the Machakos University Hotel and Conference Center, Machakos, Kenya. The seminar was themed on ‘Beyond Decoloniality: Exploring People-Centered Approaches to Peace and Development in Africa.’ The seminar was supported by the APN/ Next Gen program of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC). He presented part of his 2021 APN research fellowship by focusing on returnees’ reintegration lessons drawing on Kenya and Nigeria contexts.
