On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, Catholic Relief Services-Kenya (CRS-Kenya), led by Country Manager Margaret Kahiga, convened a consultative meeting with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) at its Nairobi offices.

The engagement explored opportunities for collaboration on the development of a Conflict Vulnerability Index (CVI) to strengthen anticipatory analysis and support targeted, evidence-based responses to emerging risks ahead of Kenya’s 2027 General Elections

The MRPC team was led by the CEO, Brig. (Rtd) Dr Robert Kabage, while NCIC was represented by Murugi Ndwiga, Principal Programme Officer for Peace Building and Reconciliation.
