Advancing Dialogue on Tax, Environment Security and Geopolitics: MRPC at the East Africa Tax Summit and Awards 2025

On September 24, 2025, MRPC researcher Alfred Eket represented the Centre at the East Africa Tax Summit and Awards, hosted by Credence Africa at Utalii College under the theme â€˜Reimagining Tax: From Enforcement to Engagement.’ Discussions explored expanding the tax base through voluntary compliance, ESG and climate-related taxation, and tackling revenue loss at Kenya’s porous borders. MRPC’s participation underscores our commitment to shaping foresight-driven dialogue at the intersection of taxation, environmental security, and geopolitics in Eastern Africa.
