On 18th June 2025, The Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) team was hosted by The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Liban Guyo Deputy Director Peace Building and Reconciliation and attended by Ms Millicent Okatch, Ms. Jescah Otieno and Ms. Regina Mutiru from NCIC, alongside, Brig (Rtd) Dr. Robert Kabage, Dr. Solomon Njenga, Mr. Joseph Kiarie and Ms. Grace Musolo from MRPC.

The discussions explored evidence-based research that informs early warning mechanisms with additional emphasis issues on national and regional peace, rule of law and environmental related conflicts. The MRPC team reiterated its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with like-minded institutions, aiming to mirror and adopt best practices in peacebuilding initiatives.
