The Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) will participate in the Trust Summit: Nairobi Dialogue on Global Trust, scheduled to take place from 21–23 October 2026 at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event is themed “Weaving Trust: Building Strands for a Stronger Global Order,” and the Summit is co-hosted by the Kenya State Department for Foreign Affairs, Strathmore University, The Open Government Partnership (OGP), the Ford Foundation, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).

The high-level Summit will convene esteemed thought leaders, scholars, policy practitioners, public and private sector leaders, think tanks, and civil society organizations. Together, participants will examine the growing depth of citizen mistrust and its far-reaching impacts on global governance, regional democracy, media, and economic development.

Key panel discussions will deliberate on actionable, practical pathways to address existing trust deficits through standardized governance frameworks, sustainable regional partnerships, and robust implementation strategies. Through these efforts, the Summit aims to directly mitigate and bridge the credibility gap across Kenya and the broader region.

Through its participation, MRPC will contribute strategic policy insights to support evidence-based global cooperation and regional stability across Greater Eastern Africa.
