On 12 May 2026, a delegation from Nuru Trust Network paid a courtesy call to Mashariki Research and Policy Centre (MRPC) in Nairobi for a strategic consultative engagement.
Discussions centred on the integration of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), into research, analysis, and policy engagement. The two organisations explored opportunities for collaboration in innovation programmes examining AI applications within their shared areas of focus, alongside joint initiatives on community resilience, conflict prevention, intercommunal dialogue, and local peace infrastructure.
The Nuru Trust delegation was led by Executive Director Mary Yvonne Ododah, while the MRPC team was led by Chief Executive Officer, Brig. (Rtd) Dr. Robert Kabage.
Although MRPC and Nuru Trust Network already maintain a working relationship, both institutions expressed commitment to formalising the partnership to support more structured collaboration going forward.
The engagement underscored a shared commitment to advancing peacebuilding, civic engagement, and socio-economic inclusion by combining MRPC’s expertise in evidence-based policy research and strategic security foresight with Nuru Trust Network’s strengths in community-driven innovation and advocacy.
