About the Event:
Theme: What’s New For The EU-Africa Partnership After The 7th AU-EU Summit?
This EU-Africa consultative meeting seeks to provide continuity to EU-Africa relations beyond major summits. It follows the AU‑EU Summit in Luanda, Angola and the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.
With uncertainty surrounding the future of the G20’s Think20 (T20) track under the current US administration, this forum creates an alternative space for African and European think tanks to engage on global governance reform. Participants will explore how an ambitious EU-Africa partnership can help shape a more inclusive multilateral order.
Presentations across six sessions critically examining the lived experiences of Africans as they relate to the relationship between the two regions, highlighting both positive developments and challenges that impede progress towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
